no matter how hard I try - I tell myself once in a while that I should do things differently - perhaps I run through everything and how I might wish to do things and I try - perhaps ten times I try and ten times it fails or I begin and then poof - the whole thing blows up in my face - so I have begun just to let things happen - nothing has to be on time or at a certain time or in a certain way - I even accidently deleted two galleries - one with 1,000 images and another with about 3 or 400 images and as I was re uploading the images in the first gallery I discovered a faster method for me to take to up load my images and I discovered while half way through that Imagekind had just in the middle of everything created a faster up loader to things are really going great with the more relaxed and as things happen attitude - :-)

THE OUTLIER

I believe that the concept of an outlier – someone whose abilities or success falls so outside the normal bell curve that he or she is considered to be an outlier has been connected to the 10,000 hour mark in a book with that title – whether or not this is true is difficult to say since using a few examples of both observed people as well as his own life experience is somewhat of a shaky use of any scientific evidence to call something proof – but Malcolm has done such and therefore the 10,000 hours example will be touted by many for decades perhaps eons to come – while my experience as an artist is so much different than that – the successes that I have had both in the commercial world as well as the artistic world and in every other world that I have functioned in has both been extremely of a different nature as well as perhaps totally contrary to what is being described –

The successes I experience come from a complete – what I call – relaxing into whatever it is that I am do – such that I am there for an infinitely long moment – and am not going anywhere else ever when I am in that particular infinitely long moment – and when – as far as I believe – anyone else begins even to ever so slightly understand what it is that I am now rambling on about – they will have cracked an even more unusual code for success than has ever been worked on and searched for and conjured up so far till this point in time –

This is something that I have known not just in the last few years or for a major part of a business or professional career – but something that I became profoundly aware of back in grammar school –

contradictions -

all my life I have seen people all around me - look to get the most amount of food for the least amount of money - ie. buying things on sale - and then they eat too much and have to spend even more money on trying to loose the excess weight that they have gained from eating too much of the food that they bought on sale - all of this would have been avoided if they put less effort into trying to get more for less in the first place -

there is most often an underlying force

that changes people from what they really truly are

to what they attempt to be

there are so many illusions - assumptions and influences that shape the current world - that it seems almost impossible to really know what is going on and what if anything we are really looking at -

what I can do!

so many times I have heard the saying sometimes attributed to different leaders in their respective fields - if you believe you can do a thing or not - you are right - so why not - if I believe I can do something that is very different than what anyone else can imagine - would I not stick with it until it is done?

making just about any business work - long term

a problem for many businesses is giving up to soon or in the face of any type of adversity - when they have almost all of the elements or ingredients for their great success - think of a batch of dough your mom might have for making bread - that dough needed flour - water - salt - yeast - some sugar perhaps and even some flavoring of say orange peel -

now remove the water from that ingredient list and no mater how much of any of the ingredients that you mom has - her dough will simply now be able to be created - if we then add some water but not enough that the recipe calls for - then the resulting mix will make an unsatisfactory batch of dough - and likewise adding too much to the mixture of any one of the ingredients - will cause the results to be a poor dough at the least - so what is needed to make many of the businesses that are created - work successfully is a right mix of all the ingredients where in contrast to this many leaders in businesses all across the nation and throughout the world often focus on one or more of a group of ingredients thus causing the resulting company operate poorly if not fail -

As long as a person, company or nation is creating more that it is spending, destroying or giving away - then it is moving in a positive economical direction - not following this principle leads - either the individual, the company or the nation to move into a negative spiral economically -

I want to stop looking at the past or the future and concentrate on what I have and am doing and being in the present moment - why is this so difficult sometimes - puzzles me until I realize - that so much of what we do as human being in the society of the civilization that I am currently living in is so oriented towards looking at the past - and doing something to obtain a desired outcome in the future - non of which allows one to simply enjoy the present - so the advice given to creative people in the book with the same title - ignore everyone - might just be the answer to everyone's search -

but I think that everyone has got it all wrong - we - each and every one of us - when we come out of the womb know exactly what we are going to become - what we are going to do and what exactly we need to do it - so now the truth is that all the folks who are struggling to find a way to market their wares to all the good people who have been born -to those who are being born and and to those who will be born need not struggle any long - need not waste one cent more to try and accomplish the impossible and need just to sit back and relax and enjoy themselves - because if any of them - any single one of them - have any product at all that you or I may need along the way to accomplish what it is that we are going to do in life - baby - we will find them and it and that is the new magic bean - just stay in business - whoever you are and you will be found - they will find you - don't worry - be happy! :-) or should I say be happy - don't worry! :-)

Magic Beans for the New Media - an Answer to Seth Godin's Prayers!

Seth Godin has stated on his latest blog post that new media is not perfect and it will not be until we find the magic beans - so therefore I say to you - I have the magic beans - and that then takes care of that! :-)



wait - you say to me - those arent't beans - those are apples -

are you kidding me - who said that these are apples?

did the seeds come with a label or was the tree first came out of the ground with a label upon it's stem or brances or did the fruit come marked out of the sky with the word apple on it? no - so I say these are not only beans but magic beans - and there you have it or them - magic beans to make this new media perfect - go tell Seth Godin - so he will know a thing or two or a few magic beans!

I know that there are answers to many of the questions that I have about so many things in this world - but I just have not yet discovered them - Now how might I best be getting round to seeking out those answers - I think it best to pose them to myself and allow my mind to make the discovery of those answers for me - since it is the most powerful computer in the Universe and as such has direct access to all of the information that is available and that exists -

The sleeping giant is becoming awakened as people begin to become aware of and realize what is being proposed in the administration's current "health care bill" - are you aware of what is in this bill and exactly how it will effect you and your loved ones?

No business can expect to give less service and demand customer loyalty while threatening the very existence of the customer's survival - all of which the glimpses into the proposed health plan which has not honestly been explained by any neutral party yet - promise to provide -

the real fact is that many many many or let's say the major portion of the population of the United States of America now are satisfied if not extremely happy with their health care - it is the costs that they may wish to see reduced - but they certainly do not wish to have their coverage reduced in any way - and it is most probably expected in some underlying way that the geniuses of the business world come up with a plan where insurance providers can cover all needed care that is needed while reducing the costs - this is what should be focused on being accomplished and not the destruction of a perfectly good system that works so well for so many individuals and groups while the financial coverage of the health services for individuals who are not covered at this point in time is an excellent goal for the government to take on - that is not reason or excuse or justification for the forcing of the lowering of the standards that are available to the majority of the population as things stand now -

this type of manipulation did not work with the financial system itself and in fact led the current crises that the entire world is just beginning to perhaps recover from - and it is definitely a plan which every clearly thinking individual that is covered by health insurance at present has a right and obligation to protest against with all of his or her - while this is still a freedom loving county and this type of debate and protest as well as the checks and balances system in this country is still alive and well and functioning properly!!!

No one - should confuse health care with health insurance -

health care refers to the care and services that the doctors - nurses and other health professionals provide to actually improve - maintain and extend individual's lives - while health insurance is the financial system that has evolved to make the health care that people need - when and where they may need it - affordable - it is and must be the challenge of the health insurance industry to address the cost issue for the individuals that are currently covered by the insurance types that already exist and for the government to enlist either one of these insurance providers or one of their own to provide the financial coverage to provide for those who the government deems in need of health care but do not currently have it - this makes a clear and definite separation between what needs to be left alone (the health care system in this country itself) and what needs to be addressed by both the insurance industry (lovering costs altogether) and the government - financing insurance to cover those who are not insured for health care coverage and who desire and are in need of such health care - and nothing more - reducing the care that anyone gets at present - in order to give any coverage at all to a person with no coverage - can not exist under the disguise of compassion by any means whatsoever - no way - no how!!!!

do not let anyone pull any such wool over you or anyone else's eyes - this is simply an untruth - be clear that health care which is needed in differing proportions by each and every individual cannot be doled out like a portion of food on a person's plate at the fanciest of restaurants or at a homeless shelter - but should and must be available when - where and as much or as little as any individual no matter who they are - is in need of such - and towards this end it is the challenge of our country and society to invent and invest in IMPROVEMENTS and INCREASES in the HEALTH CARE that everyone receives while LOWERING the COSTS to everyone - which may mean a closer examination of the HEALTH INSURANCE INDUSTRY - and the companies functioning in that sector of business -



LLOYD'S - insurance for beginners

The first large insurance company, and the most famous in the world today, is Lloyd's of London. This company was founded in 1689 by a group of men who met in Lloyd's coffee house in London, and originally sold only ship insurance.

Today you can buy insurance on almost anything — a house, a car, a painting, even a life. But the first kind of insurance ever sold was probably for ships. There are records of ship insurance dating back to the days of early Rome, around 300 B.C.

The first person ever to be insured was a ship's captain named William Gibbons, who was insured by a group of Englishmen in 1583.

the more you know - the more you do - the more you have - the more you will see how little you have of what there is to have to do and to know and that will give you the perspective to see just what abundance is and how much of it there is in the world -

MONEY by Walter Paul Bebirian

Dear friends - do not worry about whether you will be successful or rich - think only about being happy and whatever pleasure you might bestow upon another - the successful and rich part of life will show itself or not whether you do anything to obtain it or not - and even then the joy from either being successful or rich or both will most probably pass before you are able to even notice either one has arrived

today it becomes evident to me that it is possible that most or at least a large portion of my sizable collection of images may never get printed because there may not be any person who is interested in any print at any size - at least during my lifetime - I am not sure yet how to deal with this - I wish that there were someone to at least discuss this with -

I have not been able to focus yet on that one new project but I believe that I am getting closer - I think that this image will help me as a reminder - it is just the right color:

So all of a sudden - and this has happened before - I feel overwhelmed with all of these directions to go in and having to choose each and every day what to do today out of all these choices - or what to do with money and investments -whether to buy - sell or hold out of so many choices and positions - that the real bottom line is that I would love to just let everything go and not have to think about anything - non of it - which images to work on - which stocks to buy or sell or hold - not even to be concerned if I go to Manhattan which streets will I be handing my cards out on - and so I have decided that I will dispense with all of this thinking and just move through the day perhaps focusing on or thinking about some other project not yet conceived of - kind of like one stream of light in all of the deep darkness that I have been moving through -

Like many things in our Universe - the image above includes elements that are not yet understood nor will they ever be understood - at least in our lifetime - we exist only during a small sliver of a much grander time span during which enlightenment is occurring ever so slowly - and being revealed ever so slightly as time passes and in steps that will take many lifetimes to comprehend -

the teacher and the student

does a teacher really want to see a student succeed beyond the teachers own knowledge and capabilities or is there always a certain amount of hesitation in wanting to remain in the position of teacher - what is the next phase for a teacher - for one to revert back or to reemphasis being a student in their life?

why is the topc of money so overwhelming sometimes?

I think perhaps that because money is simply a number - that when we think of any number the tendency is to imagine or think about the next highest number which simply leaves us in a continuos spiral either up of down and in constant desire or anxiety about getting more or losing more of what we do have -

To counteract this - I do my best to remain at all times with the simple fact and not to place any emphasis or even awareness of exactly how much I have - always knowing that I have much more than I am aware of - a little trick to both make me feel wealthier than I am and also to keep myself grateful - that I have - remembering that to those that have shall be given -

I am never sure......

I am never sure which is the most productive route to take - I see so many paths to travel down - so many different tasks to perform and all with seemingly as much importance as the other - and so I attempt to travel down all of these paths at the same time a little bit at a time and it becomes more and more difficult to accomplish anything and then I remember what my main philosophy is: the slower I go - the faster I get to where I want to be - because if I am enjoying where I am - I don't have to go anywhere -


and so I begin to enjoy myself right where I am and all else becomes irrelevant!
